Design is often a lonely and insular activity and not always appreciated. It is important therefore that designers are recognised for their efforts at every stage in their career.

An award endorsed or organised by CSD is not only operated to the highest professional standards but also carries enormous kudos.

Awards may span all career stages and disciplines and are either offered singularly by CSD, in partnership or sponsored.

When offering student awards the Society is keen to recognise and acknowledge the assistance and effort of tutors and institutions by also presenting them with an award of some kind or another.

In addition to our own or collaborative awards, the Society promotes suitable awards offered by external organisations. All awards must comply with the standards and values of CSD.

The Society would like to hear from any organisations, companies and individuals who wish to offer, sponsor or partner an award or competition in any sphere of design activity. It provides a great opportunity to CSR and corporate entertainment whilst giving designers a boost in their career prospects.

If you are organising a design award you may also wish to invite representatives of the Society, many of whose members are design sector icons, to sit as judges. Contact CSD with details and we will be able to assist.

This short clip features the Society's Student Fashion Awards in collaboration with Cushman & Wakefiled Healey & Baker. The Society organised the awards for CWHB achieving both professional experience for the students and corporate prestige for the sponsor. Jeff Banks OBE FCSD - a past President of CSD - hosted the 8 fashion shows on cat walks at the Royal Opera House and the natural History Museum.
