Overview

We have an ongoing dialogue with design education at all levels, including government agencies, educational institutions, students and international bodies. Representation to government occurs as a result of participating and advising on various committees and initiatives. The Society is committed to fostering design study at all levels as required by its Royal Charter.

The Society believes that supporting design education and nurturing young designers as they take their first steps in their chosen career is the key to sustaining a recognised profession of design.

We offer support to design educators within our Course Endorsement Programme who may become members of the Society as Affiliate Fellows (aCSDf) or Full Members (MCSD) if in practice. The Society offers Student membership to anyone studying on a design course which is FREE to those studying on a course within the CEP. The public benefit from career and course information Find-a-Course and our online portfolio for students and course galleries give potential employers access to new design talent and assists graduate employment.
