Profile description

First trained as an architect at the University of Hong Kong and then educated as an arts and cultural observer at Central Saint Martins, Wyan Yeung is a practising architect, multi-disciplinary maker and design educator. His interest and background are situated at the intersection of architectural, spatial, furniture, product and graphic design.

As a passionate design architect striving for innovation and vision, he is leading the cross-disciplinary creative group 08 Collective, which continuously enables him to push the boundaries. The diversity of background reinforces a core vision for the studio: to act as a catalyst to arouse broader interest in the creative fields and encourage cross-cultural fertilisation through social projects.

His works are seen at various architectural and public art exhibitions, such as the Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism\ Architecture in Hong Kong and Shenzhen, the Hong Kong Exhibition at the Venice Biennale International Architecture Exhibition in Italy, as well as London Design Biennale in the U.K.

Since 2015, he has been active in academia, serving as a part-time lecturer in architecture, interior architecture and graphic design at the undergraduate level. In addition, he was appointed as the external advisor of the graphic design programme at the Hong Kong College of Technology.
