Profile description | I’m an Irish textile designer specialising in embroidery. My work is inspired by heritage, mythology, and craft, especially the rich folklore of Ireland, which shapes both my personal identity and my creative practice. I believe textiles are more than materials; they’re vessels of memory, culture, and connection. Throughout my degree, I’ve worked to blend digital techniques with traditional handcraft to create heirloom-quality pieces. My graduate collection, Where the Wee Folk Wonder, is a bespoke girls’ occasionwear line inspired by Irish myth and folklore, designed to be treasured and passed down, much like the stories that inspired it. Over the course of my degree, I’ve been fortunate to receive recognition for my work, including winning the National Embroidery Awards (University category)2025, securing a placement with NEXT through a live brief, becoming a Madeira-sponsored student, Fashann finalist, shortlisted within uiversaty for Texplus and was named a Society of Dyers and Colourists alumna. |
