Profile description

With a broad spectrum of contemporary design, my experience in a variety of Interior Design sectors and Landscape Design, has been developing projects from Brief, Concept Design, through from detailed design to completion,  in Hotel, Commercial,  Residential and Retail Interiors. In Landscape Design a Childrens’ Centre and residential outdoor rooms and family gardens.

Initially after working in Commercial Design & Build, including running my own design projects for a few years,  in 1990 moving into Hotel Interiors, specialising in the public areas, for Hotels, Golf Club Restaurant and a Residential Appartment. Projects included Design Research for  a proposd Docklands University Project and an initial design for the University Library area.  Hotels projects were designed in U.K. and built in Japan with a Japanese Architectural, Design and Development Company based in Hertfordshire, for four years.  Focusing on certain areas of the Hotel projects, such as Main Hotel Entrance Lobbies, Restaurants, Cafes, Retail Areas, Meeting and Function Rooms, were designed, applying new Autocad skills, in conjunction with our architectural and technical teams.

From 1994 my Hotel, Leisure and Residential projects included working on site in Brunei, South East Asia and later in Cairo, Egypt, from1996 to 1998 before moving back to the UK to work as a freelance designer.

After a maternity break having expanded my scope of design to include exterior spaces, working on a mixture of Interior Design and Garden Design projects, having trained at the Garden Design School,  from 2008 using Vectorworks software.

Currently as a Freelance Designer, Diana Arnold Design, I’m working in 3D Vectorworks, Sketch Up, Epicad and hand sketching.

I’m always pleased to hear from new Clients and Design Professionals with interesting projects, to work alongside. Please see some of my work shown on my websites dianaarnolddesign.co.uk and for Landscape & Garden Design on arnoldgardendesign.co.uk
