DA Diploma in Design Business Management
The DA Diploma is a programme of twelve modules that has been specially prepared for the Design Academy.
It will enable delegates to study essential business topics related to the successful management of the design process and design businesses over a twelve or twenty four month period.
Modules may be taken as a total programme or as individual modules without taking the exam.
Case studies, breakout groups and exercises will challenge the mind of the enquiring designer and lead to better business results.
Further details of the DA Diploma in Design Business Management can be found on The Design Association website.

Module C Design Development, Creativity and Business Development
Run at an intriguing design venue in Cambridge, this module offers you the opportunity to get away from the business for a short period and consider how to creatively develop new projects, products and services.
This is then linked to the critical challenge for designers of “business development”, or how to sell to clients, both current and new.
An exciting and fun interactive three days combining development and interactivity with your design community.
Learning Outcomes
As a result of this module, delegates will enhance their skills in the creative thought process and design conceptualisation.
The skills required to realise design concepts and in the processes involved when transferring creative concepts from design to production to end user delivery will be examined, honed and enhanced.
The second half of the three days will enable delegates to take away skills in business development and selling. The ability to convert excellent design practice into new client business and increase business from existing clients will be gained.
Skills will be developed in understanding client needs, presenting the pitch and closing for the business.
