UK Japan 2008
Dec 2007 – Dec 2008
In 2008, the British Embassy and British Council Japan are organising a year-long showcase of the UK’s strengths and creativity in Arts, Science and Innovation and the Creative Industries, to strengthen collaborations between UK and Japan.
Over 100 events are already planned for the high-profile programme, which also celebrates the 150th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Britain and Japan and Japan’s G8 Presidency in 2008.
UK Japan 2008 is a great opportunity for promoting creative and innovative British business in Japan.
Through a dedicated marketing and advertising campaign, activities will reach new business and consumer audiences in Japan.
The organisers therefore want to encourage British businesses, RDAs academic and research bodies and other organisations to contribute their own events for the year, with the opportunity to benefit from the raised profile UK-Japan 2008 marketing and branding activities will bring.
Guidelines and an application form for accreditation are available on the UK-Japan 2008 official website.
