THE HUB
As partners, we have secured facilities for CSD & DA members to present their practice with a 15 minute presentation at the 'Hub', a screen presentation area in the middle of the show.
The 'Hub' provide visitors and exhibitors with a continuous stream of presentations from those who feel they have something to offer to this lucrative market.
The market for Cruise and Ferries carries a huge potential for designers in all disciplines.
Each ship of this calibre presents opportunities for Display, Fashion, Graphic, Interactive, Interior, Product, Signage and Textile Design.
With design fit out costs estimated at 30% of a new ship, this is significant when considering some ships cost £500,000,000.
CSD & DA members may take advantage of these presentations FREE of charge but as you might expect there will be a high demand and so the Society will need to be selective as to who is allowed a slot.
HOW TO APPLY:
If you wish to be considered for this offer please send an email to events@csd.org.uk by close of business on the 11th April 2007 stating the design service you wish to present and the name of your practice.
Please note that submitting a request does not mean that you will be guaranteed a slot.
THE CSD STAND
In addition to the free presentation slots the Society has secured a stand at the show that is available to CSD & DA members for a nominal cost.
The stand will allow members to display up to 5 graphic panels - wall mounted.
The panels must be supplied by you and taken to site to hang and removed at the end of the day.
The fixing details will be supplied when your space is confirmed in order that you can produce panels.
In addition there will be a standard exhibition hire table and two chairs.
There will be an electric point for any presentation laptop and lighting to the stand.
The stand is 4m x 2m and will be signed as Chartered Society of Designers to the fascia.
Each chosen exhibitor will be allowed to exhibit for a whole day and you will be allocated either the 24th, 25th or 26th April.
Please note that there will be no negotiation as to the day allocated as demand will far exceed the availability.
Please note that only 1 day is available to any one member.
COSTS:
The normal cost of exhibiting at this show with these facilities would be approx £4,000
The Society is pleased to be able to offer this opportunity to 3 members at a rate of £300 plus VAT per day.
If you wish to be considered for this unique opportunity then you should email events@csd.org.uk before close of business on the 11th April 2007.
The 3 lucky members will be notified on 13 April 2007 and will need to secure the space with a credit card payment.
