The LDA ‘Creative Business Accelerator’ pilot in conjunction with The Design Association.
The London Development Agency (LDA) is running a yearlong pilot programme to provide creative businesses with intensive support to help them attract funding from investors.
This ‘Creative Business Accelerator’ pilot (CBA) will include free workshops for up to 60 entrepreneurs, as well as up to five days of expert support (for up to 20 businesses).
As a first stage in the pilot, The Design Association is helping the LDA to run a focus group to find out designers views on the scheme.
The focus group will provide an excellent opportunity for designers to explain what sort of investment support they think would work for them.
The Design Association and the LDA are also keen to hear more about the type of work designers are currently undertaking and what plans, if any, they may have to expand their business.
Attending the focus groups will give designers access to information on the free investment support the LDA will be offering over the coming months.
The focus group will take place on Monday 25th April 2005 between 5.30 and 7pm at the Bermondsey Kitchen, 194 Bermondsey Street, London, SE1.
