your professional development

The Society offers a programme of training throughout the year aimed at developing the skills and capabilities of designers in areas that are considered essential to ensure the delivery of best professional design practice.

Training modules are developed across a wide spectrum and are based on the CSD Genetic Matrix framework of competence.

Each module will be offered in various formats to suit the designer at various stages in their career as determined in the CSD Career Stage Development structure which echoes the various membership stages of the Society.

CPD points are available for all modules in whichever format. Level 1 – normally a full day module carries a CPD value of 20 points. Level 2 – normally delivered as a half day module carries a value of 10 CPD points.

The modules may be taken individually or as a course of 12 which on completion carries the award of the DA Diploma in Design Business Management. Further details are available on request.

CPD modules are competitively priced and CSD members receive a generous discount. Prices for module vary and will be published alongside details of the modules.

All prices are subject to VAT and payable in advance. Cancellations within 14 days of the course delivery are not refundable.

All modules, unless specified, will be delivered at the Society’s training suite at its head office in Bermondsey Street, London SE1 2ED. Some courses will be delivered regionally and details will be found on the schedule pages.

The Society does deliver courses in house. This has proved a cost effective and time efficient alternative to having several members of the design team absent at any one time. It is an especially attractive solution for those design companies based outside of London. The Society would be pleased to discuss your requirements in respect of those modules listed or would be able to design and deliver a customised training programme for your team. please contact the society for further details.
