protecting the profession

Membership of CSD is proof that a designer operates to the highest professional standards having satisfied the Society of their competence to practice.

The affix MCSD and FCSD is therefore highly valued amongst designers and can be relied upon by members of the business community and public to identify those who practice professionally and operate to a strict Code of Conduct (click here to read).

Only qualified members of the Society are entitled to use the registered Trade Marks MCSD or FCSD designating them to be Members of Fellows of CSD.

This section of the website has been created to help protect members of the community and qualified members of the Society against those who falsely claim membership.

Please contact CSD to:

- confirm if someone is a member, i.e. if you receive a CV, quotation, tender or  communication from anyone using the affix or claimimg membership of CSD.

- report someone who is using the affix but that you suspect is not a qualified member of CSD.

All enquiries and reports are treated in the strictest confidence and your details will not be divulged to any other party.

And if you wish to find and commission the services of a professional designer you can also contact the Society.
