London final consultation

Tuesday 26 March 2013 - 3pm - 5pm
Central London

WAITING LIST FOR PLACES ONLY

During 2012 the Society held a series of informal consultations around the UK with designers (CSD members and non-members) as well as a series of formal consultations with design related organisations.

The Society’s final consultation in respect of Chartered Designer will give a further opportunity to individuals, who were unable to attend previously, and to the wider design sector to put forward their views for consideration when implementing the Register later this year.

In order to gain constructive insights the Society is inviting a range of speakers from the design and design related sectors to offer a view to the meeting. The Society is also keen to ensure that its own members are heard in this forum and so there will also be the opportunity for them to take speaking slots.

All speakers will be given short slots to express their views as we aim to hear from as many as possible.

Speakers’ slots will be allocated to ensure the widest possible range of comment and therefore if you wish to put your view forward please contact the Society as soon as possible indicating the topic you wish to highlight.

We are delighted that already some of the key design sector representatives have agreed to speak on what is arguably the most significant development for the design profession and certainly for the Society. Those so far allocated speaking slots are:

Jonathan Mathers
Chief Executive of the Design Council

Gus Desbarrats
Chairman of British Design Innovation

Dave O’Neil
Chief Executive of the Institute for Ergonomics and Human Factors

Sue Timney
President of the British Institute of Interior Design

Libby Brodhurst
Chief Executive of the Institution for Engineering Designers

Deborah Dawton
Chief Executive of the Design Business Association

Charles Leon
President of the Interior Designers Association

Vanessa Brady
President of the Society of British Interior Design

The consultation is already eagerly awaited and therefore demand to attend is likely to be high. A number of seats have already been allocated to ensure a comprehensive attendance.

Attendance will be by ticket only and therefore you must register with the Society by contacting csd@csd.org.uk Preference for speaking and attending will be given to full corporate members of CSD.

Tickets will be issued on or before 16 March 2013.

If you have any queries or would like further information please contact CSD.
