London Focus Group Event
Tuesday 26th February 2008
The IoD, London
A very successful 1st meeting in 2008 was held on Tuesday 26th February at the IoD and was well attended by both enthusiastic members who attended in 2007 and by interested members and non members alike.
The LFG group meet in a relaxed professional setting, enabling and encouraging dialogues between design disciplines and work ethics at all levels.
This is a chance to meet future members, new members and members with a wealth of experience, exchanging thoughts and ideas in an informal setting.
We have found that this does indeed create an opportunity for everyone to take part in these informal discussions, listening and acting on information discussed.
We are in the process of making decisions discussed at this first meeting and from a recent poll sent to all LFG members.
A programme of events for 2008 will now focus on design led visits, talks and events in and around London.
Members have already come forward with new locations of interest followed by drinks and discussion in a social setting.
This group have agreed on a meeting at the beginning of each year to encourage management style discussions on the years events programme and at the end of the year for a synopsis on the effectiveness and stimulation from our group members choices and decisions.
The group’s representative, Dianne Davies MCSD, promptly received numerous emails commenting on the good atmosphere generated during our first 2008 meeting at the IoD.
The LFG poll results also emphatically showed that the London Focus group is now considered to be an important component to csd members.
