Lesley Craze Gallery is pleased to present ‘Drawings in Gold’, a touring exhibition of new work and the accompanying pencil drawings by Wendy Ramshaw (FCSD CBE RDI).

In the course of a prolific 40 year career, Wendy Ramshaw has consistently challenged her interpretation of jewellery, from her early work in paper to her experiments with different media; including ceramics, enamel and glass, as well as her recent move into larger scale work in public art.

This new exhibition is a collection of over 30 works created by Ramshaw between 2006 and 2008.

These new jewels are restrained, three dimensional “drawings” in richly coloured matt gold.

The final pieces will be displayed alongside Ramshaw’s original sketches, allowing us to comprehend something of her thought processes and inspiration.

This is a touring exhibition and a full colour catalogue is available to accompany the exhibition.
