Rebekah was awarded the CSD Student Medal and a cheque for £1,000. In addition, her BA (Hons) course was presented with a wall plaque to acknowledge her work.

Winning Project: Temporary Festival Bar

The brief was to design a temporary bar for a venue at the Edingburgh Fringe Festival.

The design required a sympathetic approach to the existing building ( St Stephen's Church, deisgned by William Playfair).

The concept was based on the name of the venue, Aurora Aurora which can be translated as new light.

The aurora borealis became the inspiration behind the design capturing the sense of expressive movement being performed iin the space through its light and form.
