The fourth year of the annual CSD Student Awards has once again highlighted the quality of design students studying throughout the UK and overseas.
The unique element of these awards is that in the first round of judging FREE Student Membership is awarded by the judges to those demonstrating competence in 5 key criteria determined in the CSD Genetic Matrix, a framework for professional practice.
Commenting on the awards, Frank Peters FCSD, CSD's Chief Executive said:
"The awards are gaining in recognition and have proved a great success for both students and courses alike
The Society considers it important to recognise the talent and effort of students as early as possible in their career and that is why the awards have been designed specifically for those in the second year of design study to include those in both Further and Higher Education.
The efforts of those teaching design must also be recognised and the Minerva plaque for the winner's course is a visable symbol of the strong relationships that exist between the professional body and academia and which will be strengthened by the introduction of the CSD Course Recognition Scheme."
