The Cushman & Wakefield Healey & Baker (C&W/H&B) Student Fashion Awards were open to all second and third year fashion design students studying on a full-time UK BA course.
Students submitted a sheet of designs answering a strict brief and these are shortlisted to 24. Each of the 24 students was then given £100 to assist in making the garment.
In September of each year all 24 garments were shown at a spectacular event and a winner and 2 runners-up chosen from amongst the 8 finalists selected at the 2nd stage.
The winner received £5,000 and the course a further £2,000. Both the first and second runner-up each received £1,000.
Past winners of the awards have gone on to work in some of the world's most renowned fashion houses.
Judges included fashion doyens and CSD members and both catwalk shows are compared by Jeff Banks FCSD.
